Yamaki Electric, a long-established manufacturer of analog meters, has created a software version of its VU meter.
"TabVU" is software that faithfully reproduces the unique movement of a VU meter.
It aims to be a VU meter that can be placed anywhere and used anywhere, by pursuing a simple function as a meter and offering the freedom of installation that hardware cannot provide.

Yamaki Denki is one of the oldest pro audio instrument (meter, gauge) in
Japan. Their analog VU Meter emulation was originally made for Roland M-5000
console to fulfill the request from Japanese broadcasting companies who aren't
satisfied with other competitive products. This TabVU seems to be highly

The program is Japanese language only but it's not hard to use. We are sure
some VU-Meter-philes will release the translated version if this product is
